Alliance Medical announces new direction at RSNA 2011

18 November 2011

Over the past 20 years’, Alliance Medical’s experience as the leading outsourced provider of imaging clinics and mobiles in Europe has helped its customers dramatically improve end to end imaging processes, quality of care and patient outcomes.

On the back of this experience, Alliance Medical has developed a new strategic vision focusing on its belief in the importance of “intelligent imaging”.  They will be launching this vision along with a new visual identity at the RSNA conference.

“Diagnosis is the “moment of knowing” - a crucial step on the path to better healthcare. Our new approach helps our healthcare professionals on the frontline to convert confusing and scattered data into comprehensive knowledge that can improve the way they work. The result is educated decision making, providing radiologists, clinicians and patients with improved quality of care, quick access and vital knowledge.

Alliance Medical has recently embarked on a number of innovative initiatives in both Italy and the UK which use “intelligent imaging” to achieve specific benefits for patients and clinicians. These include:

  • Reduced dosage programmes which use innovative processes to help imaging teams to track and measure dose levels. (UK)
  • The development of a new benchmarking methodology that enables clinicians and hospital managers to “know” how their imaging services are performing. Our tool evaluates imaging services and benchmarks performance with equivalent facilities enabling hospitals to identify opportunities to provide diagnostics faster, more accurately and at lower costs for more patients. (UK)
  • Pathway reviews of PET/CT activities which help to improve patient outcomes and engaging with referring clinicians to improve the clinical pathway (UK)
  • A new degree of scale and access to collaborative radiology backed mobile mammography services with implementation support that ensures efficient and timely reporting. (Italy)
