Dr. Olwyn McWeeney joins the organisation with experience spanning clinical practice, healthcare operations, governance, digital transformation and healthcare law. Throughout her career, she has held senior leadership roles within the Irish healthcare sector, including positions at Galway Clinic and Santry Sports Clinic.

Her experience includes the design, commissioning, development and operational management of complex healthcare facilities, alongside a strong focus on clinical excellence, patient safety, quality improvement and operational performance.

In addition to her healthcare leadership experience, Dr. Olwyn McWeeney is a qualified Barrister at Law with experience in healthcare law, medical negligence and clinical governance.

The appointment comes as Alliance Medical Ireland continues to invest in diagnostic services across the country. The business delivers services through a nationwide network supporting public and private healthcare providers, helping improve access to diagnostic imaging for patients across Ireland.

Recent developments have included the launch of a new €4.5 million diagnostic imaging centre in Mayo, expanding access to MRI, CT, X-ray and ultrasound services within the region.
