Patient Impact Award recognises MRI partnership in Ireland

Alliance Medical Ireland and Children's Health Ireland (CHI) have been recognised with the Patient Impact Award at the Private Healthcare Awards 2026.

The award was presented in recognition of a collaboration that helped clear a substantial MRI outpatient waiting list within a year, improving access to diagnostic imaging services for children and families.

During a panel discussion at the awards, Dr Siobhan Hoare, Lead Radiologist, highlighted the project's benefits for access, patient outcomes and family experience.

The service combined expertise from both organisations to support children requiring MRI appointments, including child-centred imaging and sedation when needed.

The award also recognises the contribution of the teams delivering the service every day, alongside the clinicians, operational teams and healthcare professionals who supported the partnership.

For Alliance Medical Ireland and Children's Health Ireland, the project demonstrates how collaboration between public and private healthcare providers can help address capacity challenges while supporting timely access to diagnostic services.
